Many new projects that start are not the first project for the authors on the given project type. They are either new attempts if they failed the first time or resumptions if they paused their first attempt. When this happens a lot of required activities are already completed, primarily peer reviews, final seminar participations, and final seminar oppositions.

The above activities - peer reviews, active participations, and oppositions - are done on a project type basis. Therefore they will, for the authors on the new project, show up as already completed. However, their corresponding milestones are not marked as completed.

On project start; go over all the individual milestones and mark them as completed based on the state of the system.

It turns out the feature already exists, implemented by following:

  • ActivateCompletedMilestonesOnNewProjects
  • ProjectCreatedEvent
