Reported by Jakob T, who have received several emails from students confused by the "submitted to examiner" dates and the status of their final thesis.
Problem Case: a final thesis has been rejected by the examiner, and a student submits a new final thesis that the supervisor approves (but does not send to the examiner for grading yet). The student still sees the "old" date connected to the previous submission to the examiner (i.e. of the "rejected" final thesis) and the old status "waiting for grading".

Solution: when a new final thesis is uploaded, the submission date to the examiner should be reset/cancelled, and the status should be changed to "pending submission to examiner by supervisor" until the final thesis has been sent to the examiner. Both the date and the status will be of course correctly updated when the supervisor submits the thesis to the examiner for grading.

I attach a screen shot of such a case.
